More about one generation wanted better for the next generation and how that has been going on for many years. We always think we have it the worst.<br /><br />My husband lost his job in 2008 and we ended up creating a company where he works out of our home. He makes A LOT less than he did while he was working, but he's a happier person and life seems a little easier. <br /><br />Don't get me wrong, it's harder to pay bills and we've had to cut a lot of frivolous items from our daily life, but when two of our friends also lots their jobs, we found that we were all spending more quality time with one another and enjoying simpler things.<br /><br />I still feel like the American Dream is an opportunity that's out there.
